Bloomi
A habit tracker, a focus timer and quiet music, in Chrome's side panel. Free, with no account.
The short version
- Your habits, your history, your tasks and your settings stay in your own Chrome profile.
- Bloomi makes no network requests of any kind. Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to.
- There is no account, no sign-in, no payment and no analytics.
- The music is inside the extension. Nothing streams.
- Settings has a one-tap "Delete all habits and history".
1. Who we are
Bloomi is made by the same people as Jobi. Write to support@jobi.life about either.
We are not a processor of your Bloomi data in any meaningful sense, because we never receive it. Everything below describes what the extension does on your own machine.
2. What Bloomi stores, and where
Everything lives in Chrome's extension storage, inside your Chrome profile. There are two kinds.
Synced by Chrome
- Your habits: name, colour, icon and which days each one applies to.
- Which days you completed them, kept as one record per month.
- How many focus sessions you finished, per day.
- Your tasks: name, an optional note, an optional link, and the habit each one belongs to.
- Your settings: theme, companion, reminder time, timer lengths, music volume.
- Your challenge, if you started one: which habit, how many days, and when it began.
- A flag recording that you have seen the introduction.
If you are signed into Chrome with sync turned on, Chrome copies that storage to your other Chromes under the same account. That is Chrome's own sync, governed by Google's privacy policy. We have no access to it and no way to read it.
Kept on one device
- A running focus timer, which belongs to the machine it is running on.
- What the music player is doing.
- Whether today's celebration has already played.
- Whether the last save to Chrome sync failed.
3. What leaves your browser
Nothing.
Bloomi makes no network requests. Its content security policy allows connections to the extension itself and to nowhere else, which means the browser would refuse one even if a future mistake tried to make it. There is no usage data, no crash reporting, no remote fonts, no remote images and no advertising. We do not know how many habits you keep, whether you kept them, or that you opened the app at all.
Because nothing is collected, nothing is sold, shared, profiled, or used to train an AI model.
4. Permissions, and what each one is for
- storage keeps your habits, history and settings in your Chrome profile, and lets Chrome sync them between your own Chromes.
- sidePanel is the app itself. Bloomi is a side panel.
- alarms fires the daily reminder at the time you chose, and ends a focus session while the panel is closed.
- notifications shows those two things.
- offscreen plays the music and the end-of-session chime while the side panel is closed.
Bloomi asks for no host permissions, so it cannot read any web page you visit, and it has no content script. It does not know what sites you are on, and it never records browsing history.
5. Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, Bloomi shows one notification a day at the time you chose, and only when a habit is still left to do. The focus timer shows one when a session ends. Both are produced on your device by the extension. They only appear while Chrome is running, and your operating system's focus modes can hide them.
6. Music
The music ships inside the extension and plays from your device. Nothing streams and nothing is requested from anywhere. Every track is public domain, and each one is credited by title and artist in Settings.
7. Deleting your data
- Settings has "Delete all habits and history", which clears everything the app has stored.
- Removing Bloomi from Chrome deletes its storage from that profile.
- Data that Chrome has already synced to your other Chromes is removed when they next sync.
There is nothing to ask us to delete, because we hold nothing. If you want a copy of your data, it is in your own browser under the keys above, readable from Chrome's extension storage.
8. Children
Bloomi is not directed at children under 13. It collects nothing from anybody, so it collects nothing from children either.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the version and the date at the top of this page change with it. Since Bloomi has no account, there is nothing to re-acknowledge; the current version is always the one on this page.
